What is Blue Turtle?
Blue Turtle was started by devotees of outdoor recreation and an owner of a professional recycling company. Here in South Texas we are very connected with the ocean. From work to our time off we like to spend it on the beach, in the bay and in the ocean. We believe it is very important to pass on this environmental concern to our kids and future generations
Our goal is not only to remove the plastic from the ocean, but to also create sustainable habits and establish micro economies to help prevent the plastic from entering the ocean.

By 2050, there will be more ocean plastic than fish in the ocean if nothing is done
Every single person in this world will dispose of about 300lbs of single use plastic each year
Today only a fraction of the plastic we produce is recyclable
In the last 10 years we’ve made more plastic than we did in the century before that

The Blue Turtle Promise
We, at Blue Turtle, promise that we will work not only to collect ocean plastic but will also create new recycle centers to properly dispose of plastic before it reaches waterways and the ocean. We further pledge to donate 2.2% of proceeds to nonprofits concerned about preserving the marine environment.
For each bracelet purchased Blue Turtle will help stop the ocean plastic crisis by:
1. Removing 2.2 pounds (1kg) of ocean plastic
2. Educating the youth about consumption habits & donating 2.2% of our proceeds to ocean wildlife conservation
3. Creating micro economies by employing local fisherman to collect the plastic and hiring regional artisans to make the bracelets
4. Establishing plastic collection hubs in the small villages we work in, creating value for the plastics that are polluting our oceans
